Hi, my name is Nate Marschalk and I love wings. No, I really really love wings. They are my favorite food. When I was a kid, every time my family went out to eat, I would order wings. I didn’t care where we went, how much they cost, but from ages 4-12 I sure as hell was ordering wings. As Matt Hawk and I become more and more obsessed with food and the teachings of Gordan Ramsey, we realized that our palettes, especially when it comes to wings, are a bit more refined than most. I refuse to accept the shit wings served to me by some high school drop out at Applebees. I scoff at the awful shit they try to serve you at somewhere like Fridays. One day, Matt and I were talking and decided the perfect wings have to exist somewhere in Columbia, Missouri. There simply has to be some hole in the wall place that we dont know exists and it must be the mecca of buffalo wings. We started to look around, not only for great wings, but for great deals on wings. We are a couple of poor ass college students and getting delicious wings for the cheap is really what we are looking for. I began to look around online, and if you know me this is a pretty typical scenario, to find the best deals on wings in Columbia, specials, coupons, wing reviews, etc. I found a little info, but what I wanted simply didnt exist. I wanted a site that not only reviewed the wings of different places in Columbia, but also let me know where the best specials were. Necessity is the mother of invention my friends, and Como wings reviewers (or something like that) was born. Our good friend Aaron Ulrich is the marketing genius who came up with the kickass name…Columbia Wingmen. Pretty good idea eh?
We have a couple of goals here, we want to create a site that gives a ton of different wing reviews, lets people know where the best specials are, and helps them decide where to go based on what they like. Feel free to leave comments if your opinions differ from ours or if you have particular place you want us to review.
To Come….WAY more wing reviews…We just started this project but expect ~30 reviews in the upcoming months.
